Summary: The Production Technician I is responsible for performing electronics repairs to specified work instructions, utilizing proprietary test sets and standardized test equipment. Repairs vary in degree from minor component level troubleshooting to mechanical sub-assembly rework while maintaining a high level of quality and peak manufacturing efficiency.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Those duties are necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned.

  •  Responsible for assembly level repairs of designated products.
  •  Mechanical assembly/disassembly of designated products
  • Entry of all findings from testing, diagnosis and repair into designated software programs.
  • Performs work, as designated, per written and verbal instructions.
  • Ensure quality of work/product is maintained to standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  •  Rudimentary knowledge of electronic components and electronics theory.
  • Basic ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, bill of materials and component layout drawings.
  • Ability to work with hands effectively for mechanical assembly
  • Ability to effectively communicate electronics and mechanical issues to co-workers and management both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude.

Formal Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required:

  • A.S. Degree preferred

 Type and Length of Specific Experience Required:

  • Minimal experience in component level troubleshooting preferred

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Good computer skills, including the ability to adapt to and learn new programs quickly.
  • Prior experience in the electronic monitoring industry is a plus

  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT:

  • Office environment including outdoor environment with exposure to extreme temperatures expected
  • Physically capable of lifting at least 50 pounds
  • Must be able to walk and stand for long hours

Position is located on-site in Odessa. Starting pay is $16.98/hour
