Requirements

SUMMARY

Position requires interaction with participants at the Pinellas County Sheriff Department enrolled in the alternative sentencing program.  Position will have direct contact with offenders. All interactions will take place verbally onsite at the Pinellas County Sheriff Department. Home visits WILL not be expected.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Provide oral presentation of electronic monitoring orientation to offenders. Orientation will consist of providing them with specific instructions on how they will be expected to comply with the rules of electronic monitoring according to the Pinellas County Sheriff. Policies and Procedures.
  • Enroll offenders into the EM Manager Software. Ensuring that any and all rules required to have actions are properly set up according to the Pinellas County Sheriff Department.
  • Update and input geographical zones and work schedules as directed by Pinellas County Sheriff officers.
  • Inspect all equipment prior to installation for cracks or any signs of tampering.
  • Fit offenders with ankle bracelet, assign and activate all equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems with offenders and determine whether equipment needs to be replaced.
  • Contact offenders and officers when equipment needs to be swapped out. Arrange for offenders to come to the office where Installer will properly deactivate equipment and assign and activate new equipment.
  • At time of program completion and at random intervals the Installer must inspect ALL equipment for cracks or any signs of tampering.
  • Troubleshooting of equipment through the EM Manager Software utilizing the equipment IR ports and MTD Term.
  • All equipment is expected to be cleaned and properly stored either on a charger, if there is available space, or the provided equipment shelf by close of business, every day without exception.
  • All equipment must be properly deactivated and allowed to make its final call prior to being cleaned, inspected and placed back on the inventory shelf or charger.
  • Provide monthly reports to Electronic Monitoring. These reports may include, but are not limited to, number of swap-outs, monthly activation numbers. Reports will be provided to Electronic Monitoring in Excel Spreadsheet Format.
  • Other duties as required by the program not yet defined.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  •  2 years or more of computer experience
  • Diploma or GED
