SUMMARY  

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics principles and be able to apply them to the production planning process. They will also be able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure that our products are produced and delivered on time and in good condition.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Help to develop and maintain production schedules that optimize material and labor resources.
  • Monitor inventory levels and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Maintain status reports and data analysis to review and evaluate production progress, work in process, raw material inventory and finished goods demand.
  • Interact with Operations Leadership to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies or to provide additional information as requested from internal and external customers.
  • Make suggestions for improvement in areas of cost reduction, processes, and productivity.
  • Confer with department supervisors to determine progress of work, completion dates, and inventory levels.
  • Daily processing of inventory/procurement transactions.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on production planning performance.
  • Run weekly MRP (Material Requirements Planning)
  • Support bi-weekly S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) meetings.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position does not require supervisory responsibilities.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • A desire to promote the success of the organization and operations staff.
  • Proficiency with computers.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google apps (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the team and present data in meetings.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to create and understand reports in order to make production decisions.

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum one year experience in an inventory/logistics environment.

 

 Salary – 22.60/hour (annualized 47k)
